Today was a shocking day. Some shocking news have flown around the whole world. A few unofficial informations became a true fact. The big man leaves football world. The cameras will never more catch a legendary chewing gum in a mouth of sir Alex Ferguson. SAF annouced a retirement today, and football world is really surprised. Of course, it was expected sooner or later, but after 25 years it is a real shock. What a legend he was. What he made from Manchester United is marvelous.
Well, there was a guy who brought Aberdeen football team to the winning title after huge chain of titles in Glasgow (Rangers and Celtic) hands. Even at this stage was clear to understand what a man he is. A big man with big ambitions. So he faced the walls of the Old Trafford, the stadium of the best club in the world. A lot expectations from new manager. First game against Oxford ended unsuccesfuly when loosing 1-0. But during next unbelievable long 25 years he was doing perfect! The first FA cup, then league title and great signing of king Eric. Lads like Scholes or Giggsy grown-up under the SAF's hand. So nice to see this team increasing so fast. And there is the '99. The unforgottable season. The treble. Just everything. The title, the FA cup and obviously last-minute winning of Champions league. All that we could have had. Another amazing season and trophies and top-class players. This was probabbly one of his strongest sides. Growing a legends. So the trophies were counting to the number of 19. More than Liverpool. More than any other club in the world. And what's more? Here is also the 20th one.
All that in just few words: So huge achievement in just fucking 25 years. What do you need more? No other man can ever do that, no other club can ever say that. He is the unique one.
Also bad times were surrounded by. Loses, scandals, bad games and wasting players. But is this seen so big in all that success? You just can't hate Fergie. He is a legend. There is no doubt. Are aou mental? 25 years? It's fucking damn long time, innit? No one else will even try something similar.
The chewing gum, the hands in air after scoring, the scotish accent, the glasses, the appreciation of fans. It's not like Manchester United will miss him. It's like it is no Manchester United anymore. It's gonna be something completely different. What a part of it had just left. True red devil.
There is no man on the planet who can follow him in his steps at Old Trafford. He is rare. David Moyes is the best one for this, but will he be suitable for this? Only time will show how he can handle with devils after the boss. Is Man United going down or can he keep the winning on the red side? Let's see.
I'm so pleased that I could see SAF and his team live. He will remain in every football heart forever.
I don't find more words to describe how big legend he is and what he did for Manchester United.
